How does Jack Grealish fit into Manchester City's Squad
How the £100 MILLION man is making the deal work
We all know Jack Grealish is a world class player who can make goals and score goals. He recently signed for Manchester City for a record £100 million. Many people think he was brought on to replace Aguero, but, he wasn’t there to replace Aguero. Had Aguero not left, Grealish would still be sold. Guardiola brought in Grealish to add some more firepower, and Grealish is currently being used as a striker, left-winger spesifically. Getting his first goal last week at the Etihad must have had a major boost in his confidence playing with Manchester City. One could argue that it was all luck, but football players and sportsman alike always make their own luck. If his knee hadn’t there, then, game would have ended 4-0 to Manchester City. Don’t get me wrong, 4-0 is definitely an amazing result, but a 5-0 just sent a message to the other clubs. :).
Anyway, as we saw in the match, Jack Grealish was playing in the left wing mostly alongside Ferran Torres and Gabriel Jesus. He did create a couple of chances, almost going in on the centre to finish some crosses which lead him to getting his goal. Now, the full squad isn’t back, Kevin isn’t fit yet, Foden as well, and I think with the full squad back and ready to play, we have a very fierce attacking option. De Bruyne can play as a playmaker/striker sort of player. He can create chances and so can Grealish. Grealish has the most carries into the penalty box last season amongst all City players believe it or not. Alongside Kevin with his amazing through passes, City can definitely play a false 9, no problem with that at all.
